I want to take this
opportunity to thank Tecom's Operating Engineers for their
unique handling of the conditions caused by the catastrophic
failure of the local utility on Thursday, 8/21/03.
Local #30
engineers/electricians demonstrated highly technical skills
in analyzing the failure of the automated control system for
our RUPS and Critical Load Systems. Their
methodology/performance in bypassing the automated control
systems to manually place backup generator on-line in a
minimum timeframe was exemplary.
Special thanks should be
noted to Local #30 Engineers/Electricians: Mike Buige, Bob
Wilson, John Difranco, Dave Ellis, and Dan Reynolds for
their knowledge, dedication and hard work.
